At Welch Words, we were delighted to hear last week that a project we’d been part of had won a prestigious industry award.
Last year, in partnership with That Little Agency, we wrote all the original content for the careers website of Clarks, the shoe manufacturer and retailer.
And at the Recruitment Marketing Awards (RMAs) in London on October 31st, it picked up the award for Best Recruitment Website (under £50,000).
The RMA judges praised it as a “simple goal executed well, with strong results.”
It was a fascinating piece of work, because Clarks is a major global brand, with hugely different markets for its shoes in different parts of the world. For example, in the UK, it’s recognised as the place to go for children’s shoes. But in Asia, it’s regarded as a high-end fashion brand. Which meant we were talking to a wide and varied audience.
But it’s not the first time we’ve picked up awards at the RMAs.
In fact, just a year ago, our work for Miele X – again, in partnership with That Little Agency – won Best Recruitment Website (over £50,000).
And in 2021, we also partnered That Little Agency in winning Best Recruitment Website (under £50,000) for our work with NFU Mutual.
We don’t just win RMAs, either – in 2021, we also won the award for Most Effective Employer Brand Development at the Recruiter Awards. That was for the ‘You make the story’ employer brand we developed for the Telegraph Media Group.
So, winning awards is becoming a bit of a habit with us. And we’re already looking forward to creating more award-worthy work in 2025.
