It seems like I've spent my whole life writing. First as a kid, writing short stories. Then as a teenager, agonising over angst-ridden poetry. At university I wrote articles for the student newspaper, alongside essays on European history. And as a radio journalist, I wrote reports on everything from crime to rugby and football matches.
